Booze Begets Better Blogging
Alliterations are cheesy. I like cheese so hold your tongue.
I was taking a walk this morning. I do this every morning, it’s really the only opportunity I have to go outside since I decided to make a blog. I am glued to my computer for most of the day. Anyways while I was taking my morning stroll I came upon a man that was obviously completely hammered. He could barely stand up and was yelling his objections to the wind. I am always quite interesting in what alcoholics and junkies have to say or rather, yell.
I think of it as a preview of my future.
I turned off my iPod, slowed down my walk and concentrated on deciphering his skewed vocal stylings. It was a chaotic jumble of sounds, but from what I understand only two names that kept reoccurring in his conversation.
‘Ahab‘ and ‘Moby Dick‘
Now this guy did not look like the kind of guy that would take the time to read a classic novel such as ‘Moby Dick’, but he defiantly had something to say about the novel.
Which got me to thinking. Every time I head off to a pub I invariably end up listening to some drunk person that wants to ramble on and on about something I really don’t care about. But I listen, nod and say ‘Uh-huh’ every once and a while, just to be polite. The part that always blows me away is how intelligent these drunks actually are.
It amazes, and inspires me.
I am not sure if these people were smart to begin with, or if it is the booze that is making them smarter. Judging by the number of intelligent drunks I have met, I would have to say that it is the booze that brings on the intelligence in these people.
Based on this I urge you to get drunk tonight and write a blog post. I am not talking about having a few drinks, I am talking about getting sloppy and writing a post. Post it and see if you get a better reaction than you normally do when you post. I think you will become a much more insightful writer when you add booze to your blog. I am having dinner at a German restaurant tonight, and I plan on drinking several beers out of a large boot tonight. If I can make it to my computer without passing out, I will write a new post tonight.
