Google Just Kicked Me Right in the Junk

Normally I like to take it easy on a Monday because I spent way too much time in a pub, thinking about how many adsense clicks I need in order to pay for my beer. Today is different, I don’t need to take it easy because of the beer. I need to take it easy because I didn’t sleep at all last night.

I read a post that got me really worried, and subsequently kept me up all last night.

I noticed a growing trend on my site, a trend that I thought I was immune to. Adsense click values dropping. Needless to say I am a little freaked out right now.

I don’t have the time to go over my stats today and explain what has been happening, as I need do some serious revamping to my other adsense blogs, but please take a moment to read this article titled How to Get Worthless Adsense Clicks, and tomorrow when I have stopped freaking out I will discuss what my plan is to fight back against this issue and reclaim the value of my adsense clicks.

This is one reason why I am debating removing Entrecard from my blog. My CTR dropped quite a bit since the power droppers hit and I figure I could spent the insane amount of time spent with Entrecard on driving more targeted traffic to my site. Tome equals money and with Entrecard, I don’t see the money…just less of it due to higher bounce rate.

@kiviniar: Worrying? It’s gone beyond worry for me. I cry myself to sleep thinking about how poor I am because Google won’t cough up a couple of extra pennies.

@BillyWarhol: They change so much I wouldn’t even consider them rues anymore.

@anonymous: Entrecard and Adsense-That is a good point.

Nah, don’t let things like that get to you.
Just the other day I got a couple of clicks that were about $3 each.
It comes and goes in waves.
