Living on Adsense Blog Earning Stats for Oct 12th 2008

My last week has been pretty sensational in regards to my earnings.

I as not able to get the standard screen shot that I normally have because I missed taking the “last 7 days screen shot” as I was away from my computer having Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I have used the ‘Advanced Reports section to show this weeks earnings.

This last week was nearly double from the previous week which leads me to believe that the new Adsense placement on the Top Warcraft Guides blog is working much better than previous weeks placements. For the week of October 14th to 19th I will have the text float on the right of the post instead of the left as it was this week.

Here are my earning for the September 6th to 12th

Living on Adsense Blog Stats

It may be tough to read but the total for this week was $15.18. Which brings my total earnings since purchasing Joel Comm’s Adsense Secrets 4 (which at the time of writing this post is now free form his website) to a grand total of $27.69

Congratulations on your $ 15 earning for the week. I started adsense last week and I found my earning 0.02c. So what is the trick to earn more clicks?

u know im against purchasing stuff like that online, but i guess it’s working out for ya. good job with your earning. you’re off to a great start with adsense. Not a lot of people online can manage that type of adsense income with their blogs. ;)

@David: The trick to more clicks can vary from blog to blog. I find that everything to do with making money online is a variable. You have to really keep testing until you find what works. For me though, I found that as my blog’s search engine ranking improved combined with testing my ad placement which improved my CTR, I found that my payouts had improved.

With my Warcraft blog I started off getting just a few cents per click, and then as I improved my blog and worked on my CTR, my payouts started averaging closer to $0.12-0.25 per click.

A lot of people seem to target the big paying keywords in hopes to start earning some big payouts per click. What they fail to understand is that even with the high paying keywords you will still only get paid pennies per click when you first start out.

@ the noob: I’m usually against purchasing things “like that” as well, but I figured that when I head to my favourite fast food joint I spend over $10. I figured why not skip the meal, and put it towards a book written by a top authority in my chosen niche. Worked out real well for me!

Of course now the book is available for free. I could have had the Big Mac (or 3) AND the Adsense Secrets 4 book. Oh well, you live, you learn.

Congrats if 15 bucks a week is good for you. Adsense is purely a numbers game if you want higher earnings then you need more clicks. If you want more clicks you need more traffic. There are some things you can do with placement to improve the click through rate, but first you have to have the traffic.

Search Engine traffic is best, but you can do okay with Social Media site traffic too, depending upon the niche.

@Bruce: as for traffic to my adsense blogs, I try to stick to search engines. Over time I plan on having many, many blogs, if I were social mediaize them I would be working full time just trying to keep up with the networks. The y only blog that push through social media will be this one, Living on Adsense

@Mel: currently I have many unfinished blogs that are doing nothing write now. The only other blog I have in development right now is the Saving Money Tips blog. If you want to keep up with the blogs that I am working on, I have created a side bar widget (called ‘My other Adsense Blogs’) that shows all my other blogs.
