Living on Adsense Blog Earning Stats for Oct 19th 2008
This week I learned an important lesson, well I actually knew it already, but this week just confirms it. The lesson is: the importance of testing.
This is the 4th week of testing ad position for my Warcraft blog. I added the adsense to the right hand side of my posts. I figured that this position would not be the best considering that people read left to right and most likely skip over the ads completely. I was right.
Between Monday and Friday I had ZERO clicks. I knew that I had to test and make sure that this position was not good, but after Friday I couldn’t take any more. I had to move the adsense ads back the more successful left hand side, which I think is where it will stay for some time, as I start to test ad colour.
These stats look a bit sad, as I had no clicks for 5 days, so the end dollar amount really represents just 2 days of adsense earnings.
